We are now at Step 1/phase 1 of the governments road map out of lockdown. British Canoeing has set out general guidance at each of the steps but lacks the full details of what restrictions for health and social distancing will be in place.
It is hoped to run activities this year once we know the limitations we have to work within. With 92 sessions carried over from last year to be serviced first, being able to offer canoeing to a wider audiance will be challanging. Our aim is to support guiding and scouting where we can and will keep you posted as things open up.
We provide young people of Guides and Scouts age and older an enjoyable, affordable canoeing and kayaking experiences through the provision of taster sessions and training courses leading towards British Canoeing awards. We can only take members of the Scout & Guide Associations and not open to members of the general public.
Our team of instructors are qualified with British Canoeing and are registered with either Girlguiding or The Scout Association as suitable to work with young people.
