Our evening taster sessions are a chance for scout and guide groups to try out canoeing and kayaking.
The sessions run for two hours, usually 7-9pm. Sessions at the beginning and end of the season sessions will start and finish earlier, subject to sunset times (April and September).

We ensure a maximum instructor to participant ratio of 1:8 on the water; with up to a group size of 24 (three instructors) depending up the evening, to ensure everyone is safe and has a good time. Please read the terms and conditions before booking and note that one session is one instructor with upto eight participants.

Note that we have sufficient kayaks for up to three sessions and canoes for two sessions or mixture of both.
Canoeing is a generic term to cover a number of types of boats used in paddle sports. It can be confusing as open cockpit and closed cockpit for instance appear in both a kayak and a canoe. For the purposes of identifying craft for session booking the following description is a guide:
1. KAYAKING you sit in and use a double bladed paddle.
2. CANOEING you knee in and use a single bladed paddle.
